August 2024

We are as busy as ever this month, and reaping the rewards of all our spring planting. Theres fresh produce free to harvest all over town! In Old Town Park, theres runner beans, french beans, potatoes, onions, courgettes, raspberries and soon tomatoes!

Our Bridge St planters are full of fresh lettuce, tomatoes and even our first ever grapes! Don't forget the big herb bed in the car park.

Along Riverbank we have had bumper crops of blackcurrants and gooseberries and now there lots of strawberries ripening in the sun. Our bed beside the Burton has done great this year, lots of Rhubarb, Apples and blueberries. Our new meadow area is beginning to pop with lots of colour and flowers for the bees!

Come and join us this month, you don't need to be a gardener, everyone is welcome to get involved.

Want to help local biodiversity...? Every week we carryout a bee survey of our planting, this is helping us track the difference we are making for local biodiversity. Come and join in, its great fun, a great way to learn about the bees. You don't need any prior skills or knowledge, we'll teach you all you need to know.
